EVAN COMERFORD (St Kevin’s CBS)
THERE were joyous scenes for St Kevin’s CBS at the DCU Sportsgrounds on Tuesday, when the Ballygall Road East side overcame local rivals St Declan’s CBS in the Dublin Schools’ Senior Football ‘B’ decider.
Throughout the course of the proceedings, Kevin’s had a number of fine performers – while Conor Bresnan and Sean Bugler flew the flag for Declan’s. However, the impact of Kevin’s goalkeeper (and captain) Evan Comerford cannot be underestimated, and for thwarting the Declan’s attack on a number of occasions, the current Dublin minor is a worthy recipient of this weekly award.
