Ulster Bank League Division 1A: Lansdowne V Ballynahinch – The Sunday Independent – February 1 2015

Lansdowne 39 Ballynahinch 18

The impressive form of league leaders Lansdowne continued when they recorded six tries in a commanding success over Ballynahinch. However, it wasn’t all plain sailing, as ’Hinch had replied to Tom Farrell’s opening try with a score of their own from Aaron Cairns.

Eight points from the boot of Chris Quinn also aided the Ballynahinch cause, but following five-pointers from Tyrone Moran and Cian Kelleher, Lansdowne had restored their lead by the interval point. With their confidence sky high upon the beginning of the second half, Foster Horan and Tadhg Beirne added further touchdowns. Ross Adair secured a consolation try for ’Hinch but, thanks to this win, Lansdowne remain seven points clear at the summit of the table.
