Terenure College 31 Dolphin 18
The finishing of the home side proved absolutely essential at Lakelands Park as Terenure recorded back-to-back victories against bottom of the table Dolphin. The struggling Cork side opened the scoring through a Rory Scannell penalty, but ’Nure exerted their influence with converted tries from Ian Hanley and Harry Moore. Scannell did reduce the deficit to eight (14-6) with another penalty in first-half stoppage-time before a well-worked score from John Quill cut the gap once again on 50 minutes. But Jake Swaine’s seven-point salvo maintained Terenure’s play-off aspirations to be settled at another time.
