Old Belvedere 38 Young Munster 18
A strong first-half performance paid dividends at Anglesea Road for Old Belvedere, who recorded a much-needed victory over Young Munster. Eight points from outhalf Josh Glynn, in addition to a penalty try, offered Belvo a 13-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
A converted Cathal O’Flynn score followed for the hosts and, although Ben Martincrossed over for Young Munster, 15 points (23-8) separated the teams heading into the second period.
A much-improved showing from the visitors after the restart did yield tries, courtesy of Sean Duggan and Darren Gallagher, but with Belvo registering touchdowns from Conor Owende and Danny Riordan, they managed to emerge with a bonus-point triumph.
