Aidan’s making progress

ST AIDAN’S CBS bolstered their Dublin Schools Junior ‘A’ Football Championship prospects with an away victory against St Fintan’s HS, Sutton last Thursday.

Played amidst inclement conditions, both teams produced committed displays throughout. Because just two sides progress from this three-team group – Maynooth SS are the other school in the section – this game carried considerable importance.

Fintan’s earlier defeat to Maynooth means they will compete in a shield final in early December. A number of their players will be back in action this Monday, when they once again welcome St Aidan’s to Sutton for a Dublin Junior ‘A’ Hurling Shield showpiece.
