DUBLIN JHC ‘A’

Ris remain in line for title again

DEFENDING champions Ardscoil Ris remain on course for a second consecutive Dublin Schools Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship title, following an impressive start to their 2019/20 campaign.

The Griffith Avenue outfit began their Roinn Two odyssey in fine form on September 26 at Pairc Naomh Uinsionn – a convincing success over Colaiste Eanna virtually assuring them of a spot in the knockout rounds. With two of three teams in each group progressing to the last-four of the competition, there is a certain amount of leeway.

For the teams that fail to qualify for the forthcoming semi-finals, there is a shot at silverware in a Shield decider – which is set to take place later this month.
