St Michael’s College will face Gonzaga College in the Leinster Schools’ Junior Cup semi-final after overcoming Presentation College Bray.
While the final scoreline suggests the south Dubliners were convincing winners, it took them all of 23 minutes to open the scoring. Following excellent build-up play by Henry McErlean and Sean Egan, lock David Woods touched down on the right-flank.
A Fintan Gunne conversion followed, giving Michael’s a 7-0 interval lead. Even though Pres threatened, they subsequently leaked another try to Gunne. Woods then grabbed his second in the closing stages as Michael’s eased into the last-four. On the opposite of the draw, defending champions Blackrock College will take on Newbridge College.
