GAA: DUBLIN JFC ‘B’ SEMI-FINAL
Powerful Lucan CBS advance to ‘B’ final

LUCAN CBS advanced to a Dublin Schools Junior ‘B’ Football Championship showpiece, following their comprehensive 3-15 to 0-6 success over Colaiste Eanna last Thursday.
Although their opponents had home advantage for this penultimate round clash, the Ballydowd outfit controlled the proceedings from very early on.
After emerging from a three-team group featuring themselves, St Declan’s College and Castleknock CC, Lucan were confident of progressing to the competition’s decider.
However, following a productive journey through Roinn Three – where they faced close rivals Terenure College and defending champions St Mac Dara’s CC – Eanna were aiming to pose a significant challenge.
Yet, backboned by a large Lucan Sarsfields contingent, CBS had too much for their Ballyroan Crescent counterparts.
They will now look to replicate their U18 side, who claimed Dublin and Leinster ‘B’ Championship honours before bowing out to St Nathy’s, Ballaghderreen in a subsequent All-Ireland semi-final.
