Dublin Schools Senior & Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship Previews: The Evening Herald – November 2 2017

DUB SENIOR & JUNIOR ‘A’ HURLING

AS SCHOOLS return to action following the mid-term break, it is expected that a number of second-level competitions will draw to a conclusion in the coming weeks, writes Daire Walsh.

Colaiste Eanna haven’t won a Dublin Senior ‘A’ Hurling Championship title since 2012 – when current Dublin senior footballer Colm Basquel played a key role in a triumph over Ardscoil Ris. However, after they secured their place in this season’s decider with a slender semi-final win at the expense of Ardscoil, they will have a chance to regain the crown.

Their opponents in the final will be either St Fintan’s HS, Sutton or defending champions Colaiste Eoin, who are expected to lock horns in the early stages of this month.

Eoin remain in contention for a schools hurling double, as they booked their spot in the Junior ‘A’ showpiece with an impressive success against Lucan CBS last Monday week. They await the winners of holders Ardscoil Ris and Colaiste Eanna – whose clash is expected to take place shortly.
