DUBLIN JUVENILE HURLING ‘D’ FINAL
St Paul’s in seventh heaven

SENAN McCann and Adam Morgan contributed two goals apiece at Abbotstown last Friday, as St Paul’s College, Raheny defeated St Mark’s CS on a scoreline of 7-8 to 4-4 in the Dublin Schools Juvenile Hurling ‘D’ Championship decider.
Prior to throw-in at the northside venue, a minute’s silence was observed for Eddie O’Connell – an Irish teacher in St Paul’s who recently passed away.
Early goals from Aaron O’Neill and Morgan helped the Raheny boys to settle, and even though Mark’s remained in touch, a McCann finish ensured that Paul’s were three points in front at the break.
This set up an intriguing second half, but after a 44th-minute goal by Morgan created significant daylight between the teams, Mikey Devine and substitute Donal Murphy also found the back of the Mark’s net to propel St Paul’s to an emphatic triumph.
