Wing commanders swoop for Terenure

TRIES from wingers Zak Vaughan and Luke Murnaghan helped Terenure to overcome the challenge of Kilkenny College at Castle Avenue.

In extremely wet and windy conditions, Kilkenny had broken the deadlock with a sixth-minute penalty from Josh Miller.

However, the industrious Vaughan responded with a converted score for ‘Nure – who brought a 7-3 cushion into the break.

Indeed, the 10-time champions increased their advantage six minutes after the restart, when Murnaghan squeezed over on the right-flank.

This left Kilkenny in a perilous position, and they ultimately couldn’t halt the progression of the south Dublin school.
