O’Carroll hits heights for Trinity
Trinity 1-16 DCU-St Pat’s 1-12
Trinity College continued their winning run with a hard-earned win in Santry.
DCU took an early lead with three points from free-taker from Billy Ryan.
Killian Dunphy brilliantly kept out Cian O Dulaing’s penalty, and although he was beaten by a superb Conor O’Carroll finish, this was cancelled by Niall Mullins’ goal for DCU on 23 minutes.
Three unanswered points by Ryan widened the gap, but Fionn O Riain Broin’s brace got Trinity back to within a point (1-7 to 1-6) at the break.
O’Riain Broin fired another 0-2 salvo, only for DCU to reply with scores from Alan Cox and Ryan (two). Trinity started to dominate, with Cian O’Sullivan and O’Carroll in bagging three second-half points to claim the spoils.
