NUI Galway finished their Walsh Cup campaign on a high at Abbotstown last night, when they secured an emphatic victory over DIT.
With Kevin McHugo finding the net on the half-hour mark, NUIG developed a commanding 1-18 to 0-10 interval advantage.
DIT reduced their deficit to seven points after the restart, before additional scores from Gearoid Loughnane, Pearse McCrann and Aiden Helebert (two) eased NUIG over the line.
