ST DAVID’S CBS and St Kevin’s CBS are set to compete in the Juvenile Football ‘C’ Final, following their respective triumphs at the semi-final stage yesterday.

David’s enjoyed a comfortable success against Old Bawn CS, and although there was some confusion surrounding the final scoreline in the other last-four meeting, Kevin’s were officially awarded a two-point victory (5-11 to 5-9) over St Colmcille’s CS.

Kevin’s full-forward Sobe Nwaokolo registered a brace of excellent goals, while Ciaran McHugh, Eoin Kearney and Padraig McMahon were also in fine form for Dara Gill’s charges. The scoring prowess of Lorcan O’Dell and Daragh Cullen significantly aided the Colmcille’s challege, though, and the midfield pairing of Sean Flaherty and Kevin Kirwan also made a significant impact.

St Declan’s CBS will contest the Juvenile Football ‘B’ showpiece following a seven-point win against Lucan CBS, and despite conceding goals to Bhailu O Chonaill and Malachy Codd, Malahide CS also recorded a 3-13 to 2-4 triumph against Colaiste Eanna.
