TOM QUINLAN Q-FINALS
Cabinteely progress in plate
THERE were goals galore on the Johnstown Road last Wednesday week (October 14), as Cabinteely CS advanced to the semi-finals of the Tom Quinlan Plate with an 8-4 to 4-5 triumph over Killinarden CS.
Playing on Cabinteely’s home patch, the Tallaght side enjoyed a bright start to an entertaining contest, before Adam McMahon and Adam Corcoran helped the hosts to restore parity in time for the interval.
Indeed, McMahon and Corcoran maintained their influence when the action resumed, and with Eabha Egan, Jack Marley and Kyle O’Reilly also impressing, they qualified for the final-four.
They will be joined in the penultimate round by St Aidan’s CBS, who recorded a 8-10 to 3-8 success over Ballinteer CS on Friday. In the Tom Quinlan Shield – Section 2 quarter-final last Thursday, Lusk CC were 3-15 to 3-1 victors against Colaiste de hIde.
