British & Irish Cup Pool 3: Munster A V Moseley – The Sunday Independent – October 12 2014

Clonmel Munster A 27 (R O’Mahony, P Butler try each, R Scannell 5 pens, 1 con) Moseley 21 (A Caves try, C Ryan try each, 1 con, S Oliver 3 pens)

TRIES in either half by Ronan O’Mahony and Paddy Butler proved key at Clonmel RFC yesterday afternoon as Munster A kick-started their campaign with a 27-21 Pool 3 triumph over Moseley.

O’Mahony’s try and six points from Rory Scannell helped Munster to an 11-6 interval LEAD, but following a line-out on 48 minutes, Moseley crossed over to level matters.

Unerring dead-ball accuracy from Scannell helped the 2012 champions to build up a six-point advantage 10 minutes from time before Moseley’s late consolation try.
