BRAY WANDERERS have to wait another week before ensuring their Premier Division survival, after Sean O’Connor 41st-minute goal helped Shamrock Rovers towards all three points in Tallaght last night.

 

The Seagulls’ stern resistance was finally broken four minutes before the break, when O’Connor curled an unstoppable 30-yard strike beyond the reach of the helpless Bray shotstopper McGuinness.

 

SHAMROCK ROVERS: Hyland; Madden, Cornwall, Kenna, Byrne; O’Connor (Waters 70), Robinson, Brennan, McCabe; Kilduff, Kelly (Sheppard 70).
