Bray Wanderers V Derry City Follow-Up Piece: Alan Mathews – The Irish Sun On Sunday – April 20 2014

Alan feeling Derry happy

BY DAIRE WALSH

ALAN MATHEWS reckons Bray’s draw with Derry on Friday sets them up nicely for tomorrow’s visit to Shamrock Rovers.

The Wanderers boss watched his side draw 0-0 with City at the Carlisle Grounds.

Graham Kelly missed a first-half penalty for the hosts – but Mathews is confident ahead of their trip to Tallaght Stadium.

He said: “I’m very happy with the performance. We should have won the game with the amount of chances we created.

“We’re just trying to do our best, and play to our strengths. Every opponent that you play, will have different challenges.

“It was Derry on Friday, Rovers on Monday, and we’ll try and address that for the Monday game.”
