Blackrock College held off a strong second-half fightback from Malone as a bonus-point win provided a much-needed boost in their battle to avoid relegation.
Tries by Richie Marsh, Davy Rowan and Michael Carroll, gave ‘Rock a 25-5 lead before Neil Alcorn (two) and lock Michael Ferguson reduced the deficit to three points.
Carroll and Mark Scott-Lennon sealed it for the hosts, before Richard Millar and Jay Malcolm ensured Malone emerged with something from the game.
