Ulster Bank League Division 1B: Terenure College V Belfast Harlequins – The Sunday Independent – February 16 2014

Terenure College 24 BelfastHarlequins 7

Early tries from Mark O’Neill and Harry Moore set the foundations at Lakelands Park as Terenure College edged even closer to automatic promotion from the second-tier with their 12th consecutive victory of the campaign.

A third try for the south Dubliners courtesy of James O’Neill in first-half stoppage-time gave the divisional leaders a comprehensive 19-0 interval cushion.

With the wind at their disposal upon the resumption, ‘Quins did threaten to breach the opposition line, but strong defensive work by Terenure kept them at bay during the third quarter before lock Kevin O’Dwyer powered over for a bonus-point try. The Belfast side did finally open their account with a well-worked Ricky Lutton five-pointer in injury-time, but it wasn’t enough to deny ‘Nure another maximum points success.
