Bohemians’ dynamic duo of Christy Fagan and Anto Flood proved decisive at Dalymount Park last night, as their goals in either half secured all three points and their first back-to-back league victories since the start of the season.
Bohs were by far the sharper during the opening stages and six minutes in, Fagan raced on to a header through by Flood, before finishing coolly to the bottom corner of the net.
This was a dream start for Pat Fenlon’s side, and they exuded total dominance for the remainder of the half, with Steven Trimble preventing Flood from doubling the lead on 19 minutes, before a powerful 35-yard drive from Mark Rossiter produced a brilliant finger-tip save from the Drogs custodian three minutes later.
There was only so long that Trimble could keep them at bay though, and further Bohs pressure paid off in the 59th minute when Liam Burns knocked down a Killian Brennan corner from the right for the onrushing Flood, who finished from close range.
