Dominicans exit in semi-final

DOMINICAN COLLEGE suffered a 0-18 to 1-4 reversal at the hands of St Mary’s High School, Midleton in an All-Ireland Senior ‘B’ Camogie Championship semi-final at Na Fianna GAA last Saturday.

The Griffith Avenue outfit had progressed to the national stage courtesy of their Dublin Schools Senior ‘A’ success over St Mary’s, Naas in Portmarnock last month. They remained in contention at the midway mark of their penultimate round clash in the Glasnevin venue, trailing their Leeside opponents by just five points (0-9 to 1-1).

However, a strong second half showing ensured that the Munster visitors ultimately prevailed in the end and they are now set to face another Dublin side – Loreto Beaufort, Rathfarnham – in the forthcoming All-Ireland decider.
