Murray goals propel North

DUBLIN North progressed to the group stages of the Leinster Schools Senior ‘A’ Hurling Championship courtesy of a 2-17 to 1-15 triumph over Wexford Schools at Pairc Barrog last Saturday.
Thanks in no small part to goals in each half from Conor Murray, Paul O’Brien’s charges edged out the challenge of their Slaneyside counterparts. Following earlier victories for both teams against Dublin South, this was essentially a shootout to determine who would advance to the regular phase of the competition.
Supplementing Murray’s two-goal salvo, Joe Flanagan, Conor Chawke and Cian Boyle found the target over the course of the hour. Paddy Doyle and Eoin Carney also impressed in defence for the Sky Blues outfit.
