COLAISTE Eoin sealed top spot in Group C of the Leinster Schools Senior ‘A’ Football Championship with a 2-8 to 2-7 triumph over Dublin rivals St Fintan’s HS, Sutton last Thursday afternoon.
Following an impressive victory over Good Counsel College on November 12, Eoin already had one foot in the knockout stages of the competition. The Gaelscoil didn’t have it all their own way against the northside outfit and needed goals from Barra Ó Donnchú and Liam Ó Fiachna to keep themselves on level terms.
However, the Booterstown side held their nerve and eventually dug out a result deep into time added on.
