Following their commanding victory over CBC Monkstown at Donnybrook yesterday, Clongowes Wood will face Gonzaga College in the semi-final.
After a David Wilkinson penalty edged them in front, Thomas Gilheany’s converted try offered the Clane school an interval cushion of 13-3. They extended the gap it after the break through a Hugo Philips try, before Joe Carroll finished off a sweeping move 47th-minute move to place the outcome beyond doubt.
Cian Tallon scored a Monkstown try in the closing quarter, but unanswered scores from Clongowes’ Philips and Luke McDermott eased them into the semis.
