Terenure College turned around a two-point interval deficit at Donnybrook yesterday to book a spot in the Leinster Schools Junior Cup quarter-finals.
Facing arch rivals St Mary’s College, Nure opened the scoring through James Clarke’s seventh-minute try.
This was cancelled out by Matthew O’Shea superb five-pointer. Conor Tracey added a conversion to give Mary’s a 7-5 lead at the break. There was no reason for ‘Nure to panic just, and Fintan Dignam touched down on the resumption to put them back in front.
A routine Yago Fernandez Vilar penalty extended their cushion on 48 minutes and it was enough to secure their passage into the last eight.
