Alex Dycher (St Fintan’s HS, Sutton)
On a day when they turned on the style to defeat St Benildus College in the Dublin Schools Juvenile ‘A’ Football Championship, St Fintan’s High School had a number of stand-out performers.
With an accumulative score of 5-19 over the course of a 15-point triumph on Benildus’ all-weather surface, they had sizeable contributions throughout the field.
It was centre-forward Alex Dycher who led the way right from the get-go, however, as he linked up to great effect with Finn Alexander and Conor Gibney in a devastating opening period performance by the visitors.
In addition to finding the target off placed balls, the influential Dycher registered an impressive haul of 1-5 in general play.
He also helped to set-up a host of attacks for the rampant Sutton school in their magnificent group stage success, making him a worthy winner of this weekly award.
