Leinster ‘A’ fall short in British & Irish Cup final
TRIES from Luke Carter, Joe Munro and Mark Bright helped Ealing Trailfinders to defeat Leinster ‘A’ 22-7 in the British & Irish Cup final yesterday afternoon.
After Luke Daniels had opened the scoring for Ealing, Leinster responded with an impressive maul score by centre Conor O’Brien. However, following a majestic Carter five-pointer – supplemented by a Daniels conversion – the English Championship outfit were up 10-7 at the interval.
Ealing then widened the gap with a superb Munro finish. Indeed, after Bright crossed the whitewash inside the final quarter, the home team eased towards a convincing 22-7 triumph.
