AN outstanding performance by Fionn Ó Riain Broin helped St Jude’s to secure a comfortable victory in the Dublin Senior ‘A’ Hurling Championship at O’Toole Park on Saturday.
The Trinity College student developed a strong understanding in attack with county star Danny Sutcliffe – who contributed three points in the opening period. Conor Carton kept O’Toole’s in contention, before Ó Riain Broin, Sutcliffe, Joe McManus and Mark Maguire guided Jude’s towards a 0-12 to 0-7 interval lead.
Eoghan Darcy, Carton and Andrew Morris found the range for O’Toole’s after the break, but they couldn’t curb the influence of Ó Riain Broin. The impressive wing-forward finished with 0-7 name as St Jude’s cruised to a commanding win.
