TOM AHERNE (DUBLIN SOUTH)
DESPITE being on the receiving end of a four-point defeat to Borris VS on Wednesday, there were a number of positives for Dublin South to take from their opening game in the Leinster SH ‘A’ League.
They had a number of fine individual displays, but centre-back Tom Aherne was a consistent driving force throughout the contest. In addition to delivering a stellar defensive performance, the Colaiste Eoin student also contributed a brace of magnificent points, making him a worthy winner of this week’s award.
