SECOND HALF goals from Rodney Elliott and Adam McGreal proved decisive in Kiltipper Road as Crumlin leapfrogged to the top of the Group B table and booked their Dublin SHC ‘A’ quarter-final berth.
Jude’s, meanwhile, must meet St Brigid’s in a playoff with the victors progressing to the last-eight. Crumlin led by the narrowest of half-time margins, 1-11 to 1-10, thanks in the main to the deadball accuracy of Wes O’Brien and a brilliant Shane Ryan goal.
But Stephen Larkin was in superb form for the Tymon North men and his long-range prowess and that of Danny Sutcliffe (2), Graham Nolan, Ciaran Mangan, Fiachra Feore and Sam Lehane kept their side in the game.
However, the last quarter belonged to Crumlin with Elliott’s 52nd minute goal the catalyst for scores from Ryan, Jamie Maher and Colm Hennebry, with McGreal’s goal sealing the deal.
