Leinster ‘A’ kept their slim British & Irish Cup hopes alive with a bonus-point triumph over Richmond in Pool Four at Donnybrook last night.
Results later today will determine the fate of Hugh Hogan’s side in this season’s competition, but although they were stunned by a Luke Outhwaite try just 38 seconds into the action, five-pointers from prop Peter Dooley, Jimmy O’Brien (two), Tom Daly and Barry Daly, helped Leinster to establish a 33-17 interval cushion.
The two-time champions were in pole position when the action resumed, and following further tries by Cathal Marsh, Peadar Timmins, Bryan Byrne, Barry Daly, Max Deegan and Tom Daly, they comfortably secured their third win of the pool.
