GAELIC GAMES: DUBLIN SENIOR ‘A’ HURLING SEMI-FINAL
Eoin overcome Eanna in stellar second half

COLAISTE Eoin advanced to the Dublin Senior ‘A’ Hurling decider following a remarkable second-half turnaround against Colaiste Eanna at Silver Park yesterday.
Eanna had created daylight between the teams during the early stages – when centre-forward Shane Kennedy found the back of the Eoin net at the end of an impressive attack.
This was the catalyst for a fine opening period display by the Ballyroan men, and even though Fionn O Drisceoil (three) and Tomas Mac Eochaidh (two) were on target for Eoin, a 1-6 haul from the excellent Kennedy provided Colaiste Eanna with a 1-11 to 0-7 lead at the interval.
Eoin were re-energised upon the resumption, though, and seven points in as many minutes from Mac Eochaidh (two), Sean O Cinnseallaigh, O Drisceoil, Rory O Gallachoir, Colum O Se and Dara De Poire helped them to level matters.
Eanna moved back into the ascendancy with a 41st-minute Luke Corcoran penalty, but after Fionn O Ceallaigh registered a three-pointer of his own, points by O Cinnseallaigh, De Poire (who contributed 0-4 after switching from goalkeeper to midfield) and Eoghan Mac Giolla Phadraig propelled Colaiste Eoin towards a 1-21 to 2-13 triumph.
