Allianz Hurling Div 3B Final

Corrigan Ernes victory in style

SEAN Corrigan’s 2-3 haul helped Fermanagh to the Allianz National Hurling League Division 3B title at Parnell Park.

The Erne County made the brighter start with Corrigan and Ryan Bogue finding the target early on, but The Exiles would soon open their account with a point by half-back Chris Brough seven minutes in.

Corner-forward Corrigan followed up an Eoin Morrissey point with a well-taken goal from close-in on 12 minutes.

Brace

Warwickshire responded with a brace of scores from Michael Ivors to bring the margin down to three.

His club-mate Mick Bermingham, also found his range on the half-hour mark, but three more efforts from Bogue and one from Andrew Breslin, gave the Ulster men a 1-8 to 0-5 half-time advantage.

Seamus McCusker’s men then bagged six points without reply and held a 14-point cushion moving into the final 20 minutes.

Warwickshire’s Bermingham was sent off on 54 minutes before Courtney and James O’Dwyer bagged goals either side of Corrigan’s second of the game.
