Sean Houston was the Bray hero at Tolka Park as his 112th-minute strike gave them a dramatic win.
Shelbourne finished with nine men, as two of their players were forced to retire injured after they had made three substitutions.
Shels were hit by a sucker punch on 26 minutes when Jonathan Kelty brilliantly curled a 25-yard effort past Dean Delaney and it took them until the 85th minute to equalise courtesy of David Cassidy‘s deflected shot.
