I WANT A RHYS OF THE ACTION
BY DAIRE WALSH
AFTER several weeks together in the Irish set-up, Leinster flanker Rhys Ruddock is relishing playing against Munster’s CJ Stander.
Ruddock admitted: “Often we’d be fighting for a spot in the back row but it would be a good challenge to play against him, he’s a quality player, he works hard and gets himself on the ball.”
Following an injury interrupted last season, Ruddock has enjoyed a productive campaign to date. Of Saturday’s Aviva crunch he added: “These individual battles, obviously they’re big but at the end of the day it’s Leinster versus Munster at home playing for the opportunity to get to the play-offs. Winning the game has got to be our focus.”
