Leinster hoping to see injured quartet return
RUGBY: Injured Leinster quartet Jack Conan, Dave Kearney, Marty Moore and Isaac Boss are in contention for a return for the rescheduled Guinness Guinness Pro12 fixture with Glasgow Warriors on Friday. But Luke Fitzgerald and Sean O’Brien are at least a couple of weeks away from regaining full fitness.
“Jack Conan, he’s missed out on a couple of weeks. He had a wire from that surgery, he had taken out. We’ll monitor him this week,” Leo Cullen remarked at Leinster HQ yesterday.
“Other injuries, Dave Kearney and Marty Moore, those guys are getting pretty close so we’ll just see how they train this week. Isaac Boss again, who’s been out as well, he’s been back on the field in the last few weeks, and again we’ll just monitor his progress,” Cullen added.
The return of Conan, Kearney, Moore, and Boss to action would be a timely boost for Cullen, as 13 of his players have included in the Ireland squad for the Six Nations encounter with Scotland.
Gregor Townsend’s defending champions Glasgow are also set to be depleted.
“Both teams are similarly effected by the international window,” said Cullen. “It’s a challenge.”
