CRUSADERS WIN 2-0 ON AGG
FIRST-HALF strikes from Declan Caddell and David McMaster fired Crusaders into the Setanta Sports Cup semi-final last night.
The visitors hit the ground running and took the lead with just four minutes gone.
Caddell broke the offside trap on the right-wing before unleashing a near post shot that looped to the net via the hands of Bohs netminder Craig Sexton.
Close
And they went close to adding to their advantage after 18 minutes but McMaster’s low drive was turned behind by Sexton.
However, they did not have to wait too long for another breakthrough as, with nine first-half minutes left, Stuart Dallas crossed for McMaster, who poked beautifully to the far corner with the outside of his right boot.
And a difficult night for the Airtricity league side was complete in stoppage time when Derek Pender was dismissed for a second yellow card.
