MEABH DOWLER (St Joseph’s)
FOLLOWING their final defeats in the past two years, St Joseph’s College reclaimed the Dublin Schools Senior ‘A’ Camogie Championship title against Our Lady’s, Terenure last Friday in Clanna Gael Fontenoy.
The Lucan girls had a number of fine performers on the day, and were particularly impressive in defence during the final-quarter – when their opponents forged a spirited fightback.
Indeed, half-back Meabh Dowler produced an excellent display for the victors, and for her part in keeping the Our Lady’s attack at bay in the closing stages, she is a worthy recipient of the weekly award.
