REDDAN: MY WASPS LOVE
EOIN REDDAN admits Wasps are still a club very close to his heart as he prepares to face them this weekend.
Leinster’s Champions Cup campaign comes to an end at the Ricoh Arena this Saturday and Reddan is grateful for the opportunity he was given by the English club in 2005.
The scrum-half said: “I’ve a massive connection to them. It was a sea-change in my mentality and a breath of fresh air. They were very good to me when I went and were very good in letting me go home. I was welcomed with open arms and a pat on the back on the way out.”
Reddan, a member of the Wasps team that won the Heineken Cup in 2007, is looking forward to facing former Blues out-half Jimmy Gopperth. But he warned: “Jimmy presents a massive running threat, kicking threat, is a good passer, he’s a clever guy.”
