Clinical St Benildus move into last four

ST BENILDUS COLLEGE……………………………… 2-10

ST AIDAN’S CBS………………………………………… 1-9

Goals from Callum Pearson and Aaron Bradshaw were crucial at Pairc Ciceam yesterday afternoon, as St Benildus College secured a four-point victory over St Aidan’s CBS in the Leinster Schools’ Senior Football ‘A’ quarter-final.

A goal from 2015 county minor Pearson, who also notched two points, and points from Joseph Rafferty, Tom Keane and Tom Fox helped the Kilmacud school to lead 1-7 to 0-4 at the interval.

Patrick Small and Fox swapped points upon the resumption, but Benildus struck again with a 37th-minute goal from raiding half-back Bradshaw. St Aidan’s battled back but Adam Conway’s goal came much too late to save them.
