Micheál Ó Cróinín (Colaiste Eoin)
THEY had to dig deep against a determined Colaiste Mhuire of Mullingar, but Colaiste Eoin ultimately advanced from the second round of the Leinster Schools’ SF ‘A’ Championship with a 1-10 to 1-7 victory.
Eoin had a number of fine peformers in UCD last Friday, and with an excellent personal haul of 0-3 (all from general play), corner-forward Micheál Ó Cróinín played a major part in their success. He registered two crucial points during a dominant final-quarter for the gaelscoil (who secured the provincial title in March of last year), and as a result, he is a worthy recipient of this week’s award.
