A STRONG final-quarter display paid dividends for Colaiste Eoin as the Dubliners booked their place in the next round of the Leinster Schools Senior Football ‘A’ ChampionshiP.
In a low-scoring opening period, Mhuire broke the deadlock courtesy of an excellent 12th-minute point from industrious half-forward Tom Molloy, and a coolly converted penalty by Troy Maher on 22 minutes helped the Lake County outfit to 1-3 to 0-4 interval lead.
Mhuire extended their lead with two fine Daire Hynes points just after the restart, but Eoin roared back and later levelled matters when Conor MacNioclais pounced for a 38th-minute goal.
Driven by points from O Ceallachain, Micheal O Croinin (two), Marc O Treasaigh and O Cadhla all finding the target, the 2013/14 champions edged through.
