An outstanding second-half show from Connacht Eagles proved the difference at Donnybrook Stadium last night when they finished with 19 points to spare against Leinster ‘A’ in the ‘A’ Interprovinical Series.
The visitors broke the deadlock with a converted Ciaran Gaffney try, but even though Ronan Loughney also touched down for Connacht, similar Leinster efforts from Tom Daly and Charlie Rock meant that the sides were on level terms (17-17) during the interval.
