SSE Airtricity League First Division: Shelbourne V Cobh Ramblers – Story Of The Game – The Evening Echo – October 19 2015

STORY OF THE GAME
Turning Point

When you come to a ground like Tolka, it is important to make a bright start to the action. However, it was Shelbourne who dominated early on, and when Carl Walshe found the back of David Brown’s net with six minutes gone on the clock, Cobh faced an uphill task for the remainder.

Entertainment

Because it was the final game of the season for both sides, there was a willingness, at times, to play with a form of abandon. Shels and Cobh played in a positive frame of mind, and a number of opportunities were created at either end of the field.
Goal of the Game

Shels’ excellent opening did offer them a strong cushion, and left Cobh to chase the game. Their breakthrough goal was a well-worked effort, as Ryan Robinson and Dylan McGlade displayed plenty of invention, before Walshe finished.
