DUBLIN JHC ‘A’

O Floinn leads way for Eoin

DIARMUID O Floinn was in excellent form at Silver Park last Thursday afternoon, when Colaiste Eoin survived a late onslaught from Colaiste Eanna in Roinn 2 of the Dublin JH ‘A’ Championship.

Earlier victories over St Benildus College meant that both sides would progress to the knockout stages of the competition, but thanks to their six-point triumph (1-19 to 3-7) against the Ballyroan outfit, Eoin will now face the runners-up from Roinn 1 in the semi-finals.

A combined haul of 0-10 from O Floinn and Seamas O Fiachna helped Eoin to develop a 1-13 to 0-3 interval buffer, and even though three-pointers from Ciaran Cashman and Abdullah Aljomalioi (two) dramatically reduced the Eanna deficit after the restart, the gaelscoil ultimately weathered this storm.
