Dublin Schools’ Juvenile Hurling Round-Up: The Evening Herald – April 23 2015

COLAISTE Eanna’s opponents in the Dublin Schools’ Juvenile Hurling ‘A’ Final will be Colaiste Eoin, after the gaelscoil recorded a comprehensive 1-15 to 1-8 victory over St Aidan’s CBS on Tuesday afternoon at Collins Avenue.
This sets up a fascinating decider, as both sides provide a host of players to the Dublin South juvenile outfit, who will be competing in an upcoming Leinster Schools’ League showpiece against St Kieran’s of Kilkenny.
It is expected that Sean O Cinseallaigh and Padraig Puirseil will be play prominent roles in this decider, and they also were also key figures for Eoin during their successful Leinster Juvenile Football ‘A’ odyssey.
They made a significant contribution in this penultimate round clash, but with several players introduced from the bench, Aodan De Paor’s charges possess a great deal of strength in depth.
Meanwhile, there were goals galore in the Dublin Schools’ Juvenile Hurling ‘B’ semi-final on the same day in St Brigid’s, where St Benildus College and St Declan’s, Cabra were in action. Declan’s certainly had their moments in the contest, but thanks to a brace of goals from Aaron O’Toole, as well as another from Matthew Sargent, the Kilmacud side (who are coached by Kilkenny star Walter Walsh) led 3-9 to 1-4 at the mid-way point.
Their northside counterparts initially remained in contention after the restart, but thanks to a two-goal haul by substitute Gerard Veel, Benildus booked their place in a forthcoming showdown with Castleknock CC on a scoreline of 7-17 to 4-6.
