Alan Brogan gets draw for Dubs in comeback
DAIRE WALSH – 20 APRIL 2015 03:00 AM
Alan Brogan made a memorable return to inter-county action at Skerries Harps yesterday, as his 69th-minute point helped Dublin secure a share of the spoils against Galway.
The three-time All-Star was playing his first game of 2015 for the Sky Blues, but despite contributing two points in the opening moments of this challenge encounter, the Tribesmen held a 1-7 to 0-9 interval lead thanks to Shane Walsh’s 21st minute goal.
A 0-3 salvo by Michael Martin enabled the visitors to build up a five-point cushion by the 65th minute, but after Philip Ryan’s well-taken major re-energised Dublin, subsequent points from Carthy and Brogan ensured that the sides were inseparable.
