CHANEL COLLEGE were crowned Dublin Schools Junior Football ‘C’ champions at the DCU Sportsgrounds last Friday when defeating St Paul’s (3-8 to 1-5).

There were many strong performers for the Coolock school, chiefly their midfield duo of Thomas Davis and Mark Heron – who finished with a combined tally of 3-5.

Davis gets the nod as he was both the contest’s leading scorer and the chief inspiration for most of their best play, and is a deserving recipient of this week’s award.
