La Grue inspires Terenure to victory
RUGBY: Adam La Grue was the saviour of Terenure College at Donnybrook, where his 10-point haul secured a hard-earned 10-6 victory over a determined Castleknock in yesterday’s Leinster Schools’ Junior Cup quarter-final.
Castleknock broke the deadlock with a penalty from second-row Danny Waldron. Three minutes after the break, Waldron doubled his side’s lead from a similar distance. However, Terenure responded with a seven-point salvo from outside centre La Grue on 39 minutes and his late three-pointer sealed victory.
